The Stovenswala is a traditional Shetland gansey designed by Alison Rendall with vertical panels of different sizes. The main motif is positioned so that it runs continuous up the front and back to join at the shoulders. The spaces down the sides and underarms are filled with a seed pattern. This small repeat pattern makes it easier to alter the size of the gansey without affecting the main motifs. The gansey features full-length sleeves and a V-neck. It is made in 100% Shetland wool using four natural shades and four dyed shades.
The pattern offers seven sizes from 36 to 60” chest.

This pattern uses both Supreme Jumper Weight (50g balls) and 2ply Jumper Weight (25g balls) - if you are making any substitutions make sure you get enough in the correct weight.
