Shetland Sheep Poster.
Markings in Shetland Sheep, from the SSBG Colour Census 1996.
Drawn and Compiled by Sue Rosso of the Shetland Sheep Society 1997.
A delightful and accurate pictorial presentation of our most famous Native Shetland sheep, showing their unique colour markings and accompanied by our rich Shetland dialect names, such as Smirslet, Emsket and many more. A lot of these names are of Norse origin and the markings of the sheep are also to be found across the North Sea beside our Scandanavian friends.
