Hevdadale Scarf and Tam Kit
This kit contains the yarn and pattern to knit the Hevdadale Tam and Scarf Pattern by Mary Henderson, a classic Fair Isle Tam and Scarf. Knit in Shetland Heritage, worsted spun this yarn makes for a soft and cosy knit. Kit contains yarn to knit both the scarf and tam.
SIZE
Scarf: Finished measurements: width: 20.5cm/8”; length: 140cm/55”
Tam: To fit the average adult head; rib measures 37.5cm/15” circumference unstretched, and crown measures 25cm/10” diameter before decreases.
NEEDLES
Scarf: 3mm (US 3/UK11) DPNs, or circular (40cm/16” cable) + 1 extra 3mm needle for 3-needle bind-off
Tam: (always use the right size for you to get the specified tension)
3mm (US 3/UK 11) DPNs, or 40cm/16” circular needles
NOTIONS
Stitch marker, 3mm (US C/2/UK 11) crochet hook for attaching the fringe (optional for scarf)
TENSION
32 sts x 36 rows = 10cm/4” over Fair Isle pattern, blocked
