The Gibbie Shawl

Designed by lace designer Gladys Amedro for Jamieson & Smith Cobweb Lace.
This shawl is named after Gibbie Johnson, who managed our woolstore from 1958 until 1989.
Knitting begins with the scalloped lace edging and works in towards the centre.
Finished size 50” square. Longhand pattern.

Jamieson & Smith Shetland 1ply Cobweb (100% Real Shetland Wool; 350m/379yards 25g balls)
5 x 25g balls
3.75mm (UK9/US5) 80cm/30in circular needles
3.75mm (UK9/US5) 60cm/24in circular needles
5 x 3.25mm (UK10/US3) double-ended needles

Looks great but silly me ordered the charted instead of the written so I do not know if I will every use it. I will order another with written instructions in the next order. Looks great though.
