I haven’t started my Sheelagh shawl yet (it will be my 5th!) as I’m waiting to hear from the prospective grandparents that all is well. I’ve usually bought the smaller 25g cones before, and in the natural shade, but as those weren’t available, I’m looking forward to no joins and weaving in ends with my next few shawls - I understand I may get 3 or 4 from this cone!

Wool is perfect - delicate, strong & not a brilliant white.
Good value compared with buying small amounts.
1 snooty comment I received was that I wasn't doing it properly as it was 1-ply and traditionally you do it in 3 ply & let it shrink. Would appreciate views on this!
Rachel C.
Rachel, you have bought the right yarn for knitting traditional Shetland Lace, we have sold this yarn since the 1960's for that purpose so snooty commenter was incorrect! happy knitting :).
