These socks are knit in 5ply Shetland, inspired by a Fair Isle Jumper knitted in Skerries featured in 'A Shetland Knitters Notebook' There is one row which uses 3 colours so they are technically not 'Fair Isle' but they are so effective its worth it! They feature a peasant heel which is knit as you go rather than afterwords.

SOCK SIZES
Ladies Small — UK 4, EU 37, US 6.
Finished Size — Foot circumference = 21cm/8.25", foot length =23cm/9".
Ladies Medium — UK 6, EU 38/39, US 8.
Finished size — Foot circumference = 22cm/8.5", foot length = 24cm/9.5"
Ladies Large — UK 8, EU 41, US 10.
Finished Size — Foot Circumference = 23cm/9", foot length = 25.5cm/10".
NEEDLE SIZES
Ladies Small: 2.25mm/US1 for the cuff, heel, and toe and 3mm/US3 for the leg and foot.
Ladies Medium — 2.5mm/US2 for the cuff, heel and toe & 3.5mm/US4 for the leg and foot. Ladies Large — 2.75mm/US2 for the cuff, heel and toe & 3.75mm/US5 for the leg and foot.
GAUGE
Measured over 10cm/4" of stranded colourwork pattern, unblocked on the larger needle for each size
Small - 3mm/US3 = 30 sts and 32 rnds.
Medium - 3.5mm/US4 = 29 sts and 30 rnds.
Large - 3.75mm/US5 = 27 sts and 28 rnds
