The belt is a lovely dark heavy-duty leather - beautifully made with brass buckle and studs.

It's already really helping me as my ability to knit following a recent wrist operation was limited - with the belt all the pain and strain is gone. Thank you!

Beautifully crafted traditional leather knitting belt, comfortable to use with plenty of holes for adjustment to size and positioning of the needles. I placed the order on Tuesday evening, & it arrived all the way from Shetland in Thursday’s post. Fabulous service from Jamieson & Smith.

I think this bad boy is the answer to my strong aversion to working on 4 needles! (I've gone to considerable lengths for decades to avoid knitting in the round.) The size may be a little generous for me - but, if necessary, I can poke another hole, it's not a war-stopper. And the good thing is that means it's going to cater to the majority of people whose builds are more robust than mine.
