Ola Yoke

Ola Yoke

This jumper is Ella's version of a traditional Shetland Yoke jumper, it uses raglan shaping before the yoke, a lower neckline and short row shaping to make it more modern. It is knit in the round from the bottom up and the yoke is also worked in the round.

Body and Sleeves:
28 sts and 40 rows to 10cm / 4” measured over blocked stocking stitch on 3mm needles
Yoke: 28 sts and 28 rows to 10cm/ 4” measured over blocked fair isle using 3.5mm needles.

You will also need:

2.5mm (UK 13-12 / US 1.5) circular needles or DPNs for working body, sleeves and neck rib
3mm (UK 11 / US 2.5) circular needles or DPNs for working body and sleeves
Optional: 3.5mm (UK 10-9 / US 4) circular needles
or DPNs for yoke – my Fair Isle knitting is quite tight so I choose to go up half a needle size for the yoke. You may not feel this is necessary but take time to check your gauge and adjust as necessary.
4 stitch markers (1 in a different colour for beginnin
g of round)
Stitch holders or waste yarn
