Sixareen Kep by Kate Davies in Jamieson & Smith Shetland Heritage yarn.
This traditional seafarers kep, with lined colourwork brim, was designed in celebration of Shetland Wool Week 2012, of which Kate was patron, and also has an accompanying cape in the same design: the Sixareen Cape.

This kit comes with all the yarn and the pattern required to knit the Kep,
but you will also need:
- 4ply yarn for the brim lining, if desired. (less than 50m/55yds)
- 2 x 2.75mm (UK 12/US 2) by 40cm long circular knitting needles (or DPNs)
- 1 x 3.25mm (UK 11/US 4) by 40cm long circular knitting needle (or DPNs)
- 1 x 3.25mm (UK 11/US 4) by 100cm long circular knitting needle (or DPNs)
- 3.25mm (UK 11/US 4) DPNs
- Tapestry Needle
- Stitch Marker
One size only, to fit adult head 53-56cm/21-22in.
