Your Information

The information you give to Jamieson & Smith will only be used in the following ways:

  • To process orders, for which we require your name, address and contact details (usually email and/or phone number). This information is stored only as a copy of your order for internal record keeping and accounting, and not for any other purpose.
  • If you have subscribed to our newsletter we may use your email address from time to time to send you promotional offers and information about Jamieson & Smith. If you do not wish to receive these emails, you can let us know by sending an email to mailroom@shetlandwoolbrokers.co.uk.
  • If you have subscribed to our blog, this is done directly through Wordpress on whom we rely for their data protection compliance
  • If you follow us on third party social media such as, Ravelry, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest or Facebook, you will be relying on their data protection.
  • If an item is out of stock and you select 'notify on availability', the details you provide will only be used to let you know when this product is back in stock.

Transactions

Our online shop processes payments securely through your choice of either RBS Worldpay or Paypal. Your data is protected using their security systems.

Payment for orders taken over the phone or by email can be made either by bank transfer, card (which is processed directly through our shop card machine after which the information is shredded), or we can email you a Paypal invoice at your request.

Cookies

We store "cookies" on your computer when you use our site. A cookie is a small text file which helps our website to operate to suit an indiviudal customer by, for example, saving your shopping basket, it also helps us analyse web traffic. You can choose to disable the cookies on your browser, but it may affect the speed at which our site operates. Cookies do not give us access to your computer or any information other than that which you choose to share with us.
